Apperception is a solo project by Toronto composer Joey Hoyda. Apperception fuses the complex rhythms of minimalism and prog/math rock with the dreamy soundscapes of post-rock and ambient, and is distinguished by an experimenting with polyrhythm, musical ambiguity, and ultimately the perception of the listener. The debut CD was released on September 05, 2011 and is available as a free public download (public download link is www.apperceptionmusic.com/store.cfm) and for purchase as a physical copy on the official website.
