CANYONS OF STATIC - Selective discography [2008 - 2012]

A band from West Bend, WI, formed in 2005. Featuring husband and wife guitarist Ross Severson and keyboardist Aggie Severson along with bassist Chris Biertzer and drummer Nathan Gaffney. Canyons of Static is an instrumental quartet that blends the distorted melodies of shoegaze with the intensely emotional aspects of post-rock. With no central songwriter, the music evolves from a collective process of experimentation challenging the boundaries and forms of traditional rock music.

APPELLATIVE - Daybook (DEMO) [2012]

"This project originally began as an attempt to write and record something once a day for an indeterminate period of time, with the intention of putting it online as a compilation of songs that don't fit necessarily fit together at all. However, shortly into development, a theme began to emerge so I took it that step further and did my best to bring them together under that central theme."

SESSIONS - Metacognition (EP) [2012]

Sessions is a five-piece groove metal band from Northern Virginia consisting of Lance Titus, Sahand Manafi, John Sessions, Harrison Watkins and Alex LePelch. Each individual has put forth time and effort that creates a huge sound and a very tight live band. As musicians, they care deeply about their product and about their current and future fan base. Having only a few shows under their belt, they sound as if they have been together for years, but this up and coming band is only a year old with lots of room to expand and develop their craft. Currently they have just finished their first EP with an up and coming producer, Chris Purvis (Friend for a Foe) who gave them a production sound that is just a huge as their live sound.

This new album is really awesome. Ben Sharp doesn't just made an other djent stuff (that you forget immediatly) and delve atmospheres and progressive side. Highly recommended.

GIRANICE - Giranice [2011]

Musicians from different specialities have come together to create a new project. The rhythm and the dynamics change both subtly and drastically in the same song, always guided by the melody. Instead of delivering a message, the will to convey an emotion leads to an instrumentalistic music. To achieve this, guitars based on rock are directed by a violin.
