Mogwai is a post-rock band from Glasgow formed in 1995 that has become one of the most influential and best known bands in its genre. They compose lengthy, mostly instrumental guitar-based pieces in the style of post-rock, usually focused around the elaboration of a single theme, and are known traditionally for their quiet/loud dynamic, defined bass riffs, and an eminent ambient sound, sometimes dark and sometimes grand. Although frequently referred to as post-rock, the band have revealed in interviews that they despise this categorization, insisting that their sound bears little resemblance to pioneers of the genre, such as Tortoise.

Paúl Marrón, Manuel Castañeda & Rafael Olivarría are Childs. Inspired by anime aesthetics, icelandic elfin pop, sounds from the shoegaze era in the early nineties and indie rock, this project (originated in 2001 in Ensenada, Mexico) have developed a strong cult following in their country.
Their music stops short of being more than dream passages in a world full of pop opportunities, transcending simple trends of indie electronic music.With live instrumentation and intense performances in a live setting, they are one of the young electronic acts that live up to the task of transforming the precepts of Mexican electronic and rock music. Their music is a soft mélange of digital, analog and acoustic sounds that they describe as ‘future lullabies’.

Born of Osiris is a Deathcore outfit from Chicago, Illinois.
