ORDER OF THE BRITISH EMPIRE - Act two (EP) [2011]

Orders of the British Empire (O.B.E) formed in the early stages of 2009. Beautiful, epic, brutal and soft, creating walls of sound that is very similar to opening a can of 57 variety heinz beans with an air to air attack missile! The band has grown quickly and has been playing regular gigs in London since their first appearance in June 2009. Their influences come from bands like Mogwai, This Will Destroy You, Oceansize, 65 Days of Static & Sigur Ros. Orders of the British Empire sit comfortably in the ever evolving genre of Progressive/Post Rock, drawing on each of their own experiences to carve their unique approach.

Producing energetic progressive music that moves from highly intense peaks smoothly into delicate troughs. The EP takes you on a journey that flows through a gripping and varied sonic landscape. Overall Orders of the British Empire provide a challenging and rewarding listening experience on record but their real appeal comes when seen live, this is where the power of their music really comes to life and the wall of sound can be truly appreciated.
