THE HALLOWED CATHARSIS - The Uncanny Valley (EP) [2014]

Formed in the summer of 2013, The Hallowed Catharsis is a Vancouver progressive metal band with influences from a wide range of different styles of music. Combining soaring leads with crushing rhythms, contrasting high paced riffs with soulful melody, the band aspires to create a musical journey both hard hitting and exciting.
The Hallowed Catharsis recorded and released a debut single, “Taken” in early October of 2013, soon followed by their first show later that month playing at Funky Winker Beans. Within the week, the band returned to the studio to begin tracking their first EP. At the turn of the New Year, a single, “Extraterrestrial Radiation”, was released as a preview of the band’s forthcoming musical direction. The EP is planned for release on May 17th, 2014.
